Budheskal is a nepali word for ‘Old Age’.
It was a rainy afternoon while we were heading down from Chisapani towards Lapsifedi and the old couple offered us a cup of tea as we were soaked up on that cold wet afternoon. As we were sipping the tea from a rough gazebo near the house, the couple were talking to each other in their assumed privacy. With their kids off to the middle east for labor, they are the only friends they have left for their old age.

There can’t be a better friend for your old age than your spouse…
